Conducting the church bells

Looking across a canal in Christiania, the cells chime across town. Immediately, I notice a reed no longer behave as a reed, but transform into a hand. It conducted the bells like ao orchestra, indicating tempo, pitch and melody. And as the reed returned to being a reed so, too, the bells of Copenhagen ceased their hourly symphony.
